She received her BFA in ceramics from Hartford Art School and her MFA at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts, Washington University in St. Louis.
Donald Clark began collecting and studying makers and their ceramics in the 1970s. He continued to learn and build his collection based on relationships with artists during his over 30 years of experience at Ferrin Gallery and P!NCH. Clark moved on to be the Research Manager for The Marks Project.org, an online searchable database, documenting the marks of makers working in America from 1946-present. His first book Making a Living in Craft was published by Lark in 2007. He is also the author of numerous articles in national craft magazines.
